Jesse Lingard completes permanent move to Nottingham Forest.
The midfielder took to his official Facebook page to announce signing for newly promoted side Nottingham Forest.
Recall that Nottingham Forest have just been promoted to the premier league via play offs after ending 4th in the Championship league. The club had it’s glory days in the 19th Century having won major honours including the European cup, UEFA super cup, league title, FA cup and community shield.
Ever since their relegation from the top flight in 1999 this would be the club’s first top tier appearance with hopes of returning to it’s glory days.
Nottingham Forest have proven to be strong alliances to Manchester United when it comes to getting favours of valuable or potentially valuable players. The club picked James Garner from Manchester United on a loan deal, who played a key role in their promotion to the Premier league with major statistical involvements. James Garner is currently back at Manchester United since his loan spell was just fort a single season. Talks are still ongoing between both clubs to try and arrive at a deal.
Sequel to their promotion to the Premier league, Nottingham Forest have again run to Manchester United to get Dean Henderson in their goal on a one year loan deal as well. Dean Henderson has been a phenomenal goalie having played a key role in Sheffield United’s glory days in the premier league. Sheffield United were promoted back to the premier league and got their best league finish of 7th position in the 2020/2021 season accumulating many cleansheets in the process. They were how ever relegated again in the 2021/2022 season after Manchester United called Dean Henderson back from the loan. He will undoubtedly be a key instrument in Nottingham Forest’s project for next season.
After sealing Dean Henderson’s move, the club has gone on to pick ex Manchester United’s midfielder Jesse Lingard who’s contract with Manchester United ended this summer. Jesse Lingard has been a decent player at his level with Major honours which includes the UEFA Europa league, FA cup, FA community shield and EFL cup. He also holds a joint record alongside only two other players to have scored in the all Finals of the FA cup, FA community and EFL cup.
Jesse Lingard made waves when he recently signed up for Westham united on a loan from Manchester United where he played a big role in the club’s return to European competition- the Europa league. With just one year left in his Manchester United contract, he was called back from Westham even though Westham made a move to sign him permanently. A year later, Jesse Lingard is officially a Nottingham Forest player
